About me

I’m Adi, a vocalist and vocal coach, specializing in extreme vocals.

As part of my work I produce vocals in a studio for recording artists, being featured in various performances and recordings, and am invited to conduct voice workshops around the world and advise dubbing companies.

Singers come to the studio from all over the country to specialize in different genres, with an emphasis on rock, grunge and metal.

I am an authorized Complete Vocal Technique teacher, a method developed in Copenhagen, Denmark, where I trained for three years in seminars.

I played piano and guitar and I’ve been singing for 20 years. I studied with the best teachers in Israel and Europe and performed on many stages in Israel and abroad alongside local and foreign artists.

I am the main singer and songwriter in the progressive-metal band Orpheus Blade, whose second album is being recorded these days and with whom I perform at concerts and festivals in Israel and abroad, and the main creator in the industrial-electro-metal project unREDog in which I write and compose, produced by the electronic artist Tom Almog.

As an artist, I aim to redefine the boundaries between the artist and the listener and to give a “twist” to the expected act, both musically and on stage.

My visual vision strives to challenge the known and familiar, and my performances are known to be unexpected and theatrical as what guides me most of the time is establishing a strong relationship of trust with the audience, guided by the thought that they are who we do what we do for.

As a teacher, I will always strive to challenge the singers beyond their comfort zone while understanding and taking into consideration their artistic needs and preferences.

We will adapt the exercises and tips to what you want to do in practice and with a lot of emphasis on art, musicality and presentation because in the end – we did not come to practice scales and notes but to sing songs and express ourselves through the voice.

The use of a concrete method together with my knowledge and personal research in the genres of rock and metal brings fast and proven results and most importantly – in an empowering and fun process!

Frequently asked questions

Here are some frequent questions I hear singers ask before or during sessions.

I hope you can find some helpful answers here – don’t hesitate to contact me if you have something you wish to hear my opinion about!

I strongly believe so! Our voice is an instrument like any other instrument, and you need to understand how it works in order to sin – just like a guitar player is not born as one, but learns how to play.

There are clear principles that we need to understand and obey, and when we learn and practice them suddenly everything starts to “fall into place” and our physical limitations become negligible compared to what we are able to achieve through proper technique and training.

No, I help both beginners who have never studied as well as professional singers, in Israel and abroad, actors and dancers and even those who just wish to experience the fun that singing offers us and enrich their self-expression through voice production.

But for the sake of the success of the process, I would like you to be committed to it and come regularly – that’s why I offer packages of lessons at affordable prices.

This is a very tricky question! I have a lot of experience as a singer and a teacher, and use a concrete and practical modern method – so you can expect fast results even from the first lesson. But “good” is an individual concept related to your perception, starting point and goals.

“Good” is also a matter of personal taste – after all, there are many famous singers who manage to move their audience even though they are not impressive technicians or own a unique sound is that is not everyone’s cup of tea…

In my personal opinion – there will always be “another summit to conquer”, so I guess we will never really be satisfied with what we have at the moment.

Therefore, I believe the right question would be: “Am I better than I was yesterday / a month ago / a year ago”?

Definitely not! All styles are welcome, and I also have quite a few students who sing jazz, rock, pop and even opera.

Since I’m a metal singer with a lot of experience and knowledge in the field, I can also help you with the whole world of sound effects, but it’s really not mandatory – we’ll learn what you want to learn.

Does it hurt? If not, everything is fine. And if so – we will examine the source of the pain and make the necessary corrections until it stops hurting. Trust yourself – only you know how it feels!

Regarding sound and musicality – remember that it will always be a matter of taste. Do you like the way it sounds? Excellent. If not – we will work together and find alternative options.

It depends on what the source of the hoarseness is – if it lasts for more than a week, you should see a doctor to rule out a problem and understand how we are allowed to work. Good technique will indeed improve and prevent hoarseness, but in the case of damage to the vocal folds sometimes a doctor will recommend a vocal rest first.

Sometimes the hoarseness is caused by reflux, tension and stiffness in the jaw and neck area, or even mental stress – then the source of the problem must be treated simultaneously with the voice work.

In any case of illness accompanied by fever and inflammation – it is advisable not to sing.

Remember, a good teacher can improve your condition and take you forward – but they can’t replace medical help if needed.

Not when we know what we’re doing and understand the anatomy and acoustic rules (spoiler alert: we’ll get very nerdy when discussing it!)

Every sound in the human voice can be produced in a healthy and painless way, but we need to understand the appropriate principles and technique for every sound we want to produce.

If it’s any relief, I’ve been screaming for almost two decades, and everything is fine 🙂

Understanding and assimilating a correct vocal technique will help in many cases – even when we are required to speak for long hours, and also when we are required to speak loudly or produce various types of shouts.

The vocal system and its principles are the same in both speaking and singing, so I can probably help you, although in some cases I would also be happy to refer you to a speech therapist to support the process.

  • Frontal sessions in Tel Aviv / Haifa or online sessions – 60 minutes.
  • In some cases, a class of 90 or 120 minutes can be scheduled according to the availability at the studio (if you come from a distance, for example, or want to work on several things at the same time) but no discounts will be given for additional time.
  • Keep in mind that for beginning singers a voice development class can be very exhausting on a physical and mental level, especially when working on extreme styles, so I usually don’t recommend taking a longer class if you’re a beginner.

To be honest, if there is no purpose that justifies increasing the pace (recordings, or an upcoming show for example) I think it would be best to use your free time to work at home and practice what we’ve learned than coming to more weekly sessions.

From my experience, a weekly session accompanied by a short daily work yields amazing and fast results!

It is important to create a relaxed atmosphere in the studio, with a team that knows how to support the recording singer and help them give the best takes.

I would be happy to help you in the pre-production phase preparing for the recordings, work with you on delivery and text, and also be the vocal producer in the studio when you’re recording, working side-to-side with your producer and technical staff to get your best results.

The pricing is usually done globally (depending on the number of sessions) with the understanding that studio time is very expensive anyway and almost always tends to get longer.

I usually do not accept students under the age of 15, because a certain mental and physical development is required in order for us to be able to use all the tools I can give.

It is possible to book a single session without obligation, but it is at full price.

As a musician myself I’m well-aware of the costs, so I do my best to keep affordable prices for you so that you can come to a regular weekly session and have fun, but unfortunately I don’t have an option to give an additional discount beyond the price, which also includes the costs of the studio and the maintenance of my business.

However – I offer affordable lesson packages at reduced prices.

Via cash, bank transfer, Bit / Paybox (Israel), PayPal (online classes only).

I teach in fully equipped rehearsal rooms in Tel Aviv (Sarona) and Haifa (Hutzut Hamifratz) so that we can work comfortably without disturbing anyone when we sing and scream.

It is important to me that the studio will be a safe, neutral place for us to sing, shout and explore our limits in.

Usually not, because different singers have a different pace and challenges with their voice work, but it depends on the specific case.

Please note that once in a while I hold group workshops concentrating on specific topics, frontal and online – you are welcome to follow here or ask me directly!

Sure! If you have a group of people that you would like to enrich with specific knowledge, I would be happy to talk to you and offer a workshop from the variety of workshops that I have, or work together to build a workshop tailored to your needs.

I am an authorized teacher of the Complete Vocal Technique method, a ground-breaking and research-backed method. I was trained in Denmark on a pedagogical 3-year singer/teacher course.

In the passing years I have taught singers of all types and styles, conducted workshops in Israel and Europe, advised dubbing companies, accompanied studio sessions and helped singers prepare for shows and even plan their marketing strategy.

I am an active singer in bands, writing, recording and performing in Israel and abroad for about two decades, I have took vocal lessons in different methods for many years from teachers in Israel and abroad and I constantly continue to learn and develop.
